It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Some of you may call us crazy, but we put our christmas tree up a few weeks ago.  I (cassie) was very excited to get our very own christmas tree together (and such a bargain, $35 at wal mart!).  So it's up and super cute and pretty.
Thanksgiving was good.  We went to my parents house and it was just us and my dad's friend plus my younger siblings.  We brought over our new Super Mario Brothers Wii game and it was ridiculous! You can have 4 players playing at once and it's a lot harder than it looks, and my mom was hillarious. Then we watched the Jazz game that night and they won.... Then Brandon took me yesterday to the Jazz game against the Blazers and they yet again won :) it was funny fun.  Weeeelll thats all for now!

Adventure #2: Lake Blanche

o yesterday, after weeks of planning, Cassie and I decided to tackle  Lake Blanche, it's a 6 mile roundtrip hike into the Wasatch up Big Cottonwood Canyon. There were some discouraging times but we made it and it was worth it. It was beautiful up there. Hopefully we are going to go camping up there next summer! It took us 3 hours up and 2 back down. The sunset on our way down, but luckily we packed matching pink mini maglites. Here's some photos.

Today is Sunday and I worked soo early and Brandon is working soo late so basically we don't see eachother all day. boo. But good news Buster Brown (my family's doggie) turned one today and I went to his birthday party! It was just me and my fam and actually kinda a regular sunday around there but it was fun and i did a load of laundry for free! :) Only about a month and a half left of this semester, I think I'm going to make it, WITH decent grades, I know it's silly cuz my classes are fairly easy but I am proud. Also another thing that is silly is me being stressed out about Thanksgiving.... Neither sides of my family really have plans because they usually plan at the last minute. I mean is it too much to ask for a month in advance?! So as of now we could be going to Marie Callendars to eat. yum? I'm really not that stressed about it, just more like overly aware.
On kind of a depressing note, yesterday I was waiting for Brandon to get home from work with candy for trick-or-treaters, hoping we wouldn't have any before he came, but we did and I was a horrible person and didn't answer the door and they ended up being the only trick-or-treaters of the night! oh well. Oh yeah, we went to Ikea on Tuesday for both of our first time and I have to say we were both overwhelmed at first but then we figured out how to use the shortcuts, and we got us a cute black kitchen table! :) Our first furniture together... aww. We proceeded for about 4 hours going to different stores looking for bar stools that matched, were cheap, and that we liked but no success but it was still super fun, even Brandon said it was (he was probably just being nice) :) thanks honey. So we'll probably just get some cheap ones from Ikea and spray paint them black! aren't we creative.

Well, I'm excited to get paid tomorrow or tuesday! I took Goose to work with me the other day, he had a good time and I'm going to put up a picture. Brandon and I are getting some good parenting skills practiced with Goose!
